Minh Thai
ValidaTek would like to thank and acknowledge Minh Thai for his hard work and dedication. Minh joined our ValidaTek family in 2013 as a Business Analyst on our Department of State (DOS) HR Bureau Software Development Services contract. During this time, he developed
requirements, enhancements, and quality assurance for the Overseas Personnel System that is used by 170 Posts and Embassies worldwide.
In 2015, Minh moved to the Army Computer Hardware, Enterprise Software and Solutions (CHESS) Website and Database
Technical Services contract and is responsible for testing and quality control. This includes thoroughly reviewing and documenting all change requests and requirements and help see it through the software release iterations to deployment. CHESS is the Army’s designated Primary
Source for commercial IT. It provides a no-fee flexible procurement strategy through which an Army user may procure commercial off the shelf (COTS) IT hardware, software, and services. CHESS offers simple, straightforward contract vehicles through its online Army system, the IT e-mart.
The goal of CHESS is the Primary Source to support the Warfighter’s information dominance objectives by developing, implementing and managing commercial Information Technology contracts that provide enterprise-wide net-centric hardware, software, and support services for the Army.
Minh’s goal on the team is to continuously improve user efficiencies through user enhancements and for users not to experience any defects (bugs) while using the CHESS site. Minh has over 19 years of experience in the IT field, a Bachelor of Science in Decision Management Information System, a Master of Science in Management Information Systems and is working towards a Certified Software Quality Engineer (CSQE) certification.
When asked what he enjoys most about working at ValidaTek, Minh stated that the team he works with is like a family and everyone in the company has been great. He enjoys the perks such as, the monthly happy hour, quarterly team lunches with
leadership, Corporate events (Holiday party, summer picnics, volunteer opportunities, etc.), and prizes when he wins.
