DCPS App-A-Thon

This quarter (Quarter 4 2019), ValidaTek was a proud sponsor of the On-Ramps to Careers App-a-thon and Congressional App Challenge for District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS). During these events, students from various DCPS high schools participated in an app creating competition from 12:00- 6:00 PM. The schools used the Project Lead the Way curriculum and coded with the MIT App Inventor. Our ValidaTek Mentors were acquainted with this platform, supported students throughout the day and even judged the entries. We would like to thank Rhonda Poole, Tsige Tessema and Floyd White for volunteering in the DCPS App-A-Thon! ValidaTek provided snacks, meals and prizes for the participants and volunteers!
