Arlington County's Remove Invasive Plant (RiP)

On March 28, 2015, ValidaTek employees and their family members teamed up with the Arlington County’s Remove Invasive Plant (RiP) program to clear invasive plants from the historical Benjamin Banneker Park in Falls Church, VA. Volunteers worked to clip and pull vines that were suffocating the trees to not only help beautify the park, but also encourage the growth of native plants, which in turn provide habitats for birds and other wildlife. It was a great chance to enjoy some fresh air, get some exercise and contribute to the health of the park. Volunteers also had a chance to learn a bit of history as one of the historic D.C. boundary markers is still present in the park!
