2020 Congressional App Challenge
ValidaTek continues to build and nurture relationships with our local community. Congresswoman Eleanor Norton Holmes’ office asked our very own Natalie Maggitt to participate as a judge in the 2020 Congressional App Challenge. Each year the Congresswoman’s office hosts this competition where D.C. high school students use recently acquired programming knowledge to develop an app that solves a problem. Last year, we worked with OnRamps to Careers to provide technical mentors for students who planned to enter the competition.
There are 4 finalists for the 2020 contest. Each contestant posted a 1-3 minute video submission demonstrating their app.
Students were assessed on creativity, functionality, and user experience.
